A closer look at how things are made
An intimate design-centered journey hosted by Ashley and Mounir, created for people who find meaning in beautiful objects and the hands that make them.
We’ll meet inspiring makers, explore private spaces, study Morocco’s visual language, gather around memorable tables, and experience the country through its materials, traditions, landscapes, and creative community.
What we’ll experience
Equal parts inspiration, connection, and making something with your own hands.
A guided pottery workshop offers time to slow down, work directly with clay, and experience the patience behind the objects we live with.
Meet makers and step inside studios, workshops, and creative spaces through relationships built over years in Morocco.
Share generous meals, thoughtful conversation, and the everyday rituals that make a place feel personal.
Hands-on maker experience
A guided pottery workshop gives us time to slow down and work directly with clay. It’s a tactile introduction to the patience, skill, and human touch behind Morocco’s ceramic traditions.
Your hosts
More than guides, Ashley and Mounir are your hosts into a place they know through daily life, friendship, family, and work.
Ashley has lived in Morocco for more than six years, developing close relationships with the artists, makers, shopkeepers, and creative communities that make the country so distinctive.
Born and raised in Marrakech, Mounir has spent nearly a decade welcoming guests and designing thoughtful, authentic journeys through Morocco.
Together, they offer an intimate way into the country—grounded in lived experience, trusted local relationships, and a shared love of Moroccan design, hospitality, and craft.
A private version of the journey
Apartment F Design Retreat can also be reimagined as a private journey for design firms, creative studios, and small teams.
We’ll tailor the pace and experiences around your group—from artisan workshops and sourcing inspiration to shared meals, cultural encounters, and time to reconnect outside the office.
