About Our Handmade Pillows

Every pillow at Apartment F begins with a story. Whether woven from scratch on a traditional Moroccan loom or cut from a fragment of a vintage rug sourced throughout Morocco, each piece carries the mark of the hands that made it — and no two are exactly alike. Our upcycled rug pillows are handmade in our Marrakech studio from authentic vintage Moroccan rugs — Taznakht, Zanafi, and others. Rather than let worn or retired textiles disappear, we give them a second life as heirloom-quality throw pillows. Each cover is cut, sewn, and finished by hand. The patterns, colors, and textures you see are original — created by weavers decades ago — and you are getting the only one. We also design and source new pillows made from natural fibers — linen, wool, and cotton — in collaboration with fair-trade artisans and weavers across Morocco and Turkey.
